Experience the charm and serenity of the historic Gate Lodge at Mason Manor, situated on almost five acres in rural Akron, NY and surrounded by 70 acres of natural woodlands. Commissioned by Ford S. Mason, who was the founder of Ford Gum and Machine, and designed by locally renowned architect John Percy.
The Gate Lodge and Mason Manor has entertained dignitaries and celebrities, from Billy Graham to Cher, and was a location shoot for the 2002 film “Manna from Heaven”, featuring Oscar winning actors Shirley Jones and Cloris Leachman, Buffalo native Wendi Malick and the Riddler, Frank Gorshin.
The no expenses sparred estate was built in 1956-1957 using crab orchard sandstone, imported on private rail from Tennessee. Lovingly renovated to modern standards, it features three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room with fireplace and a full kitchen for your convenience. Fully furnished and available for a minimum of two nights. Located adjacent to the Links at Ivy Ridge Golf Course, only two minutes to Akron Acres, and within ten minutes to fine dining establishments.
